As part of CreativeSheffield’s Wednesday Night Live project, Tracey Welch Photography was commissioned for a special photography exhibition. The idea is to showcase some of the city’s key players within the events and entertainment industries.
There will be between 10 and 15 portraits on show. Each person chose the location and venue to have their portrait taken, for example James O’Hara who co-owns The Bowery bar in the Devonshire Quarter and was one of the curators on the Tramlines music festival chose Notre Dame School; Sophie Mei, who was on Britain’s Got Talent a couple of year’s ago had her photo taken in her back garden; while Matt Heason, who is responsible for the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival had his photo taken at his event Cliffhanger.
Some of the other people include Patti Crozier at Endcliffe Park, she’s the events manager for The Forum and The Old House and Nick Simmonite’s photo was taken outside The City Hall, he runs The Frog and Parrot pub. My photo was taken at one of my favourite pubs in Sheffield, The Shakespeare…
Portraits:
James O’Hara, Sophie Mei, Nick Simmonite, Liam O’Shea, Ralph Razor, Matt Heason, ‘Mutley’, Sally Clark, Ben Duong, Patti Crozier, Alan Deadman, Iain Hodgson, Jamie Wilkins.
The exhibition will run from Thursday 3rd until Wednesday 30th September 2009.
