Last night was host to several cool events launching in Sheffield city centre, the first being Club Pony’s ‘Too Many Parties’ exhibition of their posters over the past four years at Archipelago.  The second was at the Site Gallery, which was Cypriot born artist Haris Epaminonda’s first solo exhibition in a UK public gallery with newly commissioned video work.  And finally, last but by no mean least, it was the much anticipated launch of The obLONG Club at the Washington pubJody Wildgoose played the opening set, while obLONG after, leaving the headliners The Violet May to rock the place down…

The Cuckoo Clocks@Lantern Theatre

Last night saw The Cuckoo Clocks take over The Lantern Theatre in Nether Edge, Sheffield for their 2nd gig.  The sold-out event, entitled ‘The Home Grown Gramophone Show’, had support from various cabaret acts.

OD-Saxon

As one of the first major events for Wednesday Night Live, the Oliver/Dawson Saxon gig rocked Sheaf Square.  Over 600 people flocked to the area outside Sheffield train station whilst the band did not disappoint and definitely turned it up to 11!
